Licence to Kill, également orthographié License to Kill aux États-Unis, est une chanson interprétée par la chanteuse américaine Gladys Knight, écrite et enregistrée pour le film de James Bond de 1989 Permis de tuer dont elle est la chanson-titre. Le morceau a été écrit par Narada Michael Walden, Jeffrey Cohen et Walter Afanasieff, et produit par Walden. Elle a été commercialisée le 30 mai 1989 par MCA Records comme premier single de la bande originale du film. Le titre s'est classé dans le top 10 au Royaume-Uni, atteignant la sixième place et devenant le dernier single solo de Knight dans le pays. En Europe, la chanson est restée en tête du Swedish Singles Chart pendant huit semaines (quatre périodes de classement à l'époque) et a atteint le top 5 dans sept autres pays européens dont la Belgique et la Suisse. Licence to Kill s'est également classée à la 79e place du RPM 100 Singles au Canada, mais n'est pas apparue sur le Billboard Hot 100 aux États-Unis.

Licence to Kill, enregistrée au printemps 1989 dans les studios Tarpan à San Rafael en Californie, a été publiée le 30 mai 1989, soit une semaine avant la sortie du film Permis de tuer. Outre Narada Michael Walden et Walter Afanasieff, également responsables de la production, le compositeur du film Michael Kamen (pour l'accompagnement orchestral) et Ren Klyce (responsable de Fairlight CMI) ont également participé à l'enregistrement du titre. La face B du single publié par Gladys Knight contenait le morceau "Pam".
