The Detonator Spectacles is a detonator disguised as a pair of glasses, which remotely detonated an explosive "flash-bang" charge concealed in James Bond's firearm.
History[]
While James Bond was meeting with Lachaise in order to get back Sir Robert King's money, he wore a pair of Detonator Spectacles, while having his trick Walther P99 placed on Lachaise's desk. Since Lachaise refused to hand over the money, and his bodyguards began threatening him, Bond removed his glasses and pressed the hidden trigger, which caused his Walther P99 to fire a flash bang charge, blinding Lachaise and his bodyguards, allowing Bond to subdue them and question Lachaise.
