The Magnetic/Buzzsaw Wristwatch was a modified wristwatch equipped with a miniature electro-magnet and circular saw. Built around a Submariner wristwatch produced by Rolex, the device was developed by Q-Branch. Such a device first appeared in EON Productions' 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die. A generic wristwatch variant with a magnet feature later appeared in the 1997 video-game GoldenEye 007.

Live and Let Die (film)[]
A highly modified Rolex Submariner (ref: 5513) given to Bond by his superior M. When switched on, it could snag any lightweight metallic item. In theory, Bond claims it can even deflect a bullet. Notably, it fails to save Bond as he attempts to escape from the alligator farm by pulling a Dory boat with a rope attached that holds to the tree trunk in the swamp; a rare occurrence. It also has a circular saw built into its face; the bezel spins and is shown cutting through rope.

The "Q Watch v2.01 Beta", as seen in GoldenEye 007 (1997).
Introduced as the "Q Watch v2.01 Beta", the wristwatch serves as GoldenEye 007's in-mission menu interface. The watch features a strong magnet similar to the Rolex Submariner from the 1973 film Live and Let Die. The magnet can pull weapons, ammo, keys, and other objects flagged as collectable to Bond. It appears prominently in the second 'Bunker' level, helping Bond attain a key vital to his escape. The magnet function reappears in the 'Archives' level, with the possible use of pulling both the PP7 and its ammunition off of a table. However, it is almost always overlooked in favor of simply picking up the PP7 and its ammo quickly.
