History[]
From Russia with Love (film)[]
While attempting to escape on a boat, James Bond and Tatiana Romanova were ambushed by a team of SPECTRE agents, who were being led by Morzeny. Bond decided to drop the leaking fuel barrels off his boat, before slowing down to a halt. Although Romanova suggested that they were lighter now and should be faster, Bond instead mocked a surrender, causing Morzeny's men to stop in the water, which was now filled with fuel. Bond then had Romanova hand him a Flare Gun, which Bond shot at the leaked fuel, causing a massive fireball that destroyed the SPECTRE boats, while Bond and Romanova escaped.
A View to a Kill (film)[]
As James Bond was escaping assassins attempting to stop him getting away with the Zorin Microchip that he had discovered from the body of 003 in Siberia, he was cornered by a Soviet Helicopter, that shot at him and forced Bond to take cover behind some ice. Without any actual weapons at his disposal, Bond had instead produced his flare gun, which he fired directed into the helicopter cockpit, blinding the Pilot as the flare smoke filled the helicopter, eventually causing the helicopter to crash and explode, while Bond found the Iceberg, where Kimberley Jones was waiting to aid his escape.
The World Is Not Enough (film)[]
While he had been attempting to question Valentin Zukovsky about Elektra King and Renard's plans, James Bond found himself attacked by a squad of Eurocopter AS355's, which were armed with Buzz Saw Pendants. At the conclusion of the battle, Bond released some gas from a nearby valve, filling the air underneath the final helicopter. Bond had then grabbed a nearby Flare Gun, and shot it at the gas, causing a fireball which caused the helicopter to explode. The explosion had also caused the helicopter's razor blades to be flung towards Zukovsky, who was barely able to avoid them in time.
Spectre (film)[]
Having been given his mission to find Marco Sciarra and kill him, James Bond had engaged in a brutal fight against Sciarra inside the helicopter that Sciarra was attempting to escape inside. As they flew over Mexico City, Bond continued fighting Sciarra, who was assisted by the helicopter pilot, who managed to grab a Flare Gun and attempted to shoot Bond with it, only for Bond to avoid the Flare shot and swiftly disarm him, as Bond had eventually managed to steal Sciarra's SPECTRE Ring, before killing both Sciarra and the pilot and escaping inside of the helicopter.
