Señor Guerra was a professional assassin and board member of the secretive criminal organisation, SPECTRE. A supporting antagonist portrayed by Spanish actor, Benito Sagredo, the character appeared in the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre.

Biography[]

Guerra was a high-ranking Spanish SPECTRE operative who secretly met at the Palazzo Cardenza, Rome, Italy, following the death of their operative Marco Sciarra. He volunteers to take over the latter's mission to assassinate the Pale King, but after conferring with Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Moreau asks if there are any challengers for Guerra's position. Mr. Hinx quietly enters the conference room and stands silently alongside Guerra. Asked why he is qualified to 'succeed' Guerra, Hinx promptly smashes his head on the meeting table, gouges his eyes with his thumbs, and breaks his neck, killing him. Hinx then throws his corpse aside and takes the vacant seat.

Later, when British secret agent James Bond and his partner, Madeleine Swann, are sequestrated in SPECTRE crater facility, Blofeld tells Madeleine about Guerra's death, noting that when Hinx was gouging his eyes, there was no one left in his skull.

Behind the scenes[]

In a leaked script for 'Bond 24' dated 1st December 2014, further detail is provided of the SPECTRE meeting. Unlike a previously leaked script dated 17th October 2014, there are eight people sitting around the table instead of twenty, and some are named: Moreau (French), Kimura (Japanese), Vogel (German), and Marshall (American). Notably, Mr. Hinx's rival is provided a full name and nationality - Carlos Francisco Guerra.^[2]
