Hadley is an employee of the British Secret Service. The character appears in the 1967 James Bond spoof film Casino Royale and was portrayed by English actor Derek Nimmo.
Biography[]
Hadley speaks with an upper middle class, adenoidal voice. He explains to Mata Bond her mission.
Since Sir James Bond has designated all agents as 007, James Bond to confuse the enemy, Hadley will presumably be one too.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Hadley's main role in this film is an expository device, similar to M in many of the Eon films. Bond films are frequently satirised for this, notably with the Basil Exposition character in Austin Powers, played by Michael Yorke.
