Sent to Peru to investigate Nikolai Diavolo, 003 vanishes during his mission and so MI6 scrambles James Bond to rescue him. Bond finds a lead through Serena St. Germaine, with whom 003 was in a romantic relationship. Bond discovers 003 being interrogated and tortured by Diavolo at his platinum mine, and arrives to see his fellow 00 agent fatally shot when he attempts to intervene. In his last moments, 003 tells Bond that Diavolo is moving on to New Orleans, but dies before he can fully divulge Diavolo's intentions.
In the handheld variant of Everything or Nothing, 007 teams up with 003 in the Peruvian jungle to investigate Diavolo's activities. Working undercover in Peru prior to the mission's events, 003 briefs Bond on the situation, noting that the entire local population is on Diavolo's payroll. The pair infiltrate Diavolo's operation, with Bond subsequently sending 003 to flank the base, rendezvousing at a weapons stockpile. However, 003 is caught and brought to Diavolo. He claims to be a geologist with Global Petrochemical, who got lost while surveying the region. Diavolo sees through his deception and has the man shot offscreen.
