Jag was the pseudonym of a fictional Smersh agent.Portrayed by French actress Mireille Darc, the character appeared in the 1967 parody spy film, Casino Royale.
Biography[]
Jag was one of a number of female Smersh agents involved in "Smersh Plan B" - a scheme to destroy the reputation of their celibate, upstanding spy nemesis, Sir James Bond. Jag intercepted Sir James after he'd returned to England from M's Scottish residence.
Jag crashes her car
She overtook him on the motorway, and scraped his car. She drove a sports car, possibly the "jag" which gives her the name. The plan was to pin Bond between her car and an exploding milk float. Unfortunately, Smersh refused to slow down the milk float, resulting in her death.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, Darc's real life acting career was cut short in the 1980s for some years due to a car accident, which resulted in her needing open heart surgery.
- She was not credited for the role.
