Commander James Bond, C.M.G., R.N., also known by the cryptonym 007, is an intelligence agent of the Double-O Section, an ultra-covert unit within the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). The '00' prefix indicates his discretionary licence to kill in the performance of his duties. A fusion of the literary and cinematic characters, he serves as the main protagonist of Dynamite Entertainment's James Bond comic series.
