This timeline is a comprehensive list of important fictional historical events set out in Dynamite Entertainment's James Bond prequel comic arc, James Bond Origin, which ran between 5th September 2018 and 14th August 2019. This literary timeline is based on Bond's obituary in Ian Fleming's 1964 novel You Only Live Twice.

1930s

1939

  • September 1: World War II begins in Europe, when Germany invades Poland.

1940s

1940

  • June 22: France surrenders to Nazi Germany.

1941

  • Spring: Bond attends his father's school, Fettes College.
  • March 11:
    • Circa 3pm: Whilst on a recruitment tour of Fettes Lt Cdr Ronald Weldon attempts to check up on a late friend's son, James Bond. Bond teaches his biweekly Judo class.
    • After 3pm: Bond is invited to Professor Keller's office where he is shown a photographic album of his mother at the University of Zurich. Keller subsequently meets in private with Werner Leipzig.
  • March 12:
    • Late afternoon: Weldon speaks to the boys about their options to serve the country and join the war.
    • Early evening: Professor Keller is murdered. Bond pursues his assailants toward Clydebank, but crashes and falls unconscious.
  • March 13:
    • Day: Bond awakes, steals a bicycle and heads to Clydebank.
    • Night: Coinciding with a school tour of the shipyards at Clydebank, the Luftwaffe conduct their first night of air raids on the town. Bond arrives and Weldon observes his courage in the chaos.
  • March 26: Bond arrives at the Pig Farm for his first day of training. He meets F and his physical training instructor Sergeant major Sayles.
  • March 27: The Service recruits' first day of strenuous physical training.
  • c. July-November: Operation Arctic Fox.
  • Late 1941: Bond returns to Britain to recover from injuries sustained in Murmansk. Lt Cdr Weldon is killed in Genoa, Italy.
