Dame Judith Olivia Dench, CH, DBE, FRSA (born 9 December 1934),[1] is an English actress and was notable for being the first female M in the James Bond film series. Her first appearance as the chief of MI6 was in GoldenEye (1995), a role she continued to play until Spectre (2015). To date, she is the longest-serving cast member in the franchise, and the only one to appear in both the original movies and the reboot series.

Everything or Nothing[]
In early 2004 Electronic Arts' video game Everything or Nothing presented an essemble of celebrities and had a script by the veteran screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Returning along with John Cleese as "Q" were Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, Dame Judi Dench as "M", and Richard Kiel as Jaws.[2] This was Dench's fifth official role as M. All cast members ended contributing generously with their likenesses provided thanks to EA's electronic "cyberscanning" process.[2]

- Dench had a longtime, close friendship with the late Tim Pigott-Smith, who portrayed the Foreign Secretary in Quantum of Solace, alongside Dench.
- Happens that Dench wasn't best pleased when her character was killed off in the movies, she said "I have played M three more times and was not best pleased when they killed me off in Skyfall."[3]
