Unnamed, the character was a fictional bodyguard employed by the Swiss banker, Lachaise. A minor antagonist portrayed by unknown performer, he appeared briefly in the 1999 James Bond film, The World Is Not Enough, and its accompanying novelisation.

Biography[]

One of the three unnamed bodyguards who worked for the Swiss banker, Lachaise, the man is present during his meeting with British agent James Bond in November 1999.[1] The bodyguard is apparently unaware of his employer's dealings with the anarchist, Renard, nor his plan to use 007 to deliver a fertilizer bomb to oil magnate, Sir Robert King, disguised as his own money. After Bond disorientates the guards using a flashbang hidden inside his Walther P99, a short fight ensues, where the spy uses the pistol of another henchman to shoot the bodyguard, who also has drawn his pistol.

Alternate Continuities[]

In Raymond Benson's novelisation, 007 is met in the office building by Lachaise's three Armani-clad thugs, who are described as looking "more like professional wrestlers than bankers".[2] The narrative continues almost identically to the film.[2]
