The Land Rover Defender 90 Custom is an off-road vehicle built by British manufacturer Land Rover. Since there are several differences from the standard Defender 90, the one seen in The World Is Not Enough appears to be custom-built by Land Rover, especially for the movie.

History

The Defender used by James Bond and Elektra King in a deleted scene looks different from 'normal' Defenders of that era: The grille has only three slots, and is painted in a matt grey, as are the headlight surroundings, and the custom-made bumper.

As the car is also visible in a scene not cut from the final movie (passing in the background), we also see that the doors appear to their tops cut off, while standard Defender 90 soft top convertibles still had full doors. The mudguards also appear to have been painted in the same matt grey as the front components.

The car is visible in yet another scene, when Bond, Elektra and Gabor grab the skis out of the rear compartment. It appears to have a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. The Defender has King Industries decals on the doors.

There is virtually no information found about this unique vehicle.
