The topic of this page has a wiki of its own: GoldenEye Wiki.
The following levels were part of the original Goldeneye 007 by Rare:

The area surrounding the dam is mountainous and of difficult access. The road to the dam is protected by guard towers and security gates, and most of the guards are stationary.

Also known as Chemical Warfare Facility #2, the level is the second part of Bond's first mission. And the reason of him being sent to Arkhangelsk. Appears in multiplayer and single mode and is a very well known level.

The level is a runway behind the Russian Chemical Warfare Facility #2 and is used for the shipping out of the facility or as an entrance. The area is heavy guarded but maybe you can use a tank.

Also known as Severnaya Installation 1 is a level where Bond has to access the Satellite Control Bunker. The level is basically pine trees and snowy grounds with some huts around.
Bunker 1[]
This is a small underground base on the Severnaya plateau of Siberia. At this time it is under construction and there are only a handful of hardware in preparation for the Goldeneye program. Bond must lead a programmer to start him a computer, so he could steal information (only on 00 Agent).

A missile silo set in Kirghizstan and the sixth level of the game. The guards are Russian Infantry and use KF7s. Bond has to infiltrate to stop the unscheduled test firings. At the end you'll go to a hallway where General Ourumov is awaiting Bond.
Frigate[]
The level is the frigate La Fayette, a French ship transporting the Pirate stealth helicopter. The guards carry D5K Deutsches and Phantoms and naval Officers need to be rescued for a total mission success.
Surface 2[]
This takes place in the same zone as the first Surface level. The enemies here use KF7 Soviets and Klobbs and the huts are now equipped with cameras.
Bunker 2[]
Again at the Severnaya Bunker Complex after James is caught by the guards and thrown into jail. There imprisoned meets a woman called Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova who is there because they believe is a traitor. The guards are Arctic Commandos and they use KF7 Soviets and Klobbs. More commandos will show up with DD44 Dostoveis and occasionally Klobbs or KF7s if the alarm sounds.
Statue[]
The Statue Park of St. Petersburg is Goldeneye 007's tenth mission. A labyrinth of statues and monuments from the fallen remains of the Soviet Union, along with shipping containers. Bond needs first to find and meet ex-KGB agent Valentin Zukovsky and then face the head of Janus under the statue of Lenin. After that he must locate the stolen Pirate helicopter and rescue Natalya before it is too late. The last objective is recover the helicopter's flight recorder. This level is infamous for its distance fog.
Archives[]
Also known as GRU Military Intelligence Archives, here Bond has to escape his interrogation, find Natalya, and get the helicopter's blackbox. The player is given the watch magnet, like in Bunker 2, however is not necessary for get the weapon and the clip from the table.
Streets[]
The St. Petersburg Streets come after Natalya and James break out from Archives. Here you also have to talk with the ex-KGB agent Valentin Zukovsky, he slows down General Ourumov giving you extra minutes for finish the level. The map is a maze with two routes to take and at the beginning you have the choice to take the tank or go on foot. Going with the tank could be easier, but you must respect the civilians. On foot could be quick, but be careful with the soldiers with rocket launchers.
Depot[]
Located at a neglected military depot of St. Petersburg. The main objective is to find Alec Trevelyan's converted missile train, which is at the very end. The depot is filled with abandoned hangars and other buildings, like an small abandoned railway station. The Janus Mercenaries use the D5K Deutsche, sometimes in a dual combination.
Train[]
The Converted Missile Train is part of the St. Petersburg series of levels. Linear map starting at the back of the train, and you make your way forward. The Janus Mercenaries have D5K Deutsche guns in the beginning, but later they are equipped with ZMG (9mm)s. After breaking the brakes, two guards will appear from the room where Alec Trevelyan, Xenia Onatopp, and General Ourumov are. One may drop a key.
Jungle[]
One of the four later levels in GoldenEye 007. It is found in the Cuban jungle near the Janus Control Centre, and has drone guns and Jungle Commandos. After the aeroplane of our heroes is shot down, they are forced to reach the site on foot. However, soon they're attacked by the merciless Xenia Onatopp, who wants to prevent them from advancing further.
Control[]
The Janus Control Centre is the sixteenth level in Goldeneye 007 and takes place in the vicinity of Havana. From here the Janus Crime Syndicate plans to hold the world on ransom.
Caverns[]
The caverns take place underground. Bond will go on catwalks above water and over solid ground. The guards are Janus Special Forces and they carry AR33s and ZMGs and Bond will require security cards for certain doors.
Cradle[]
James's final showdown with Alec has place on the Antenna Cradle. Last mission of the main storyline.
Bonus levels[]
Aztec[]
The Aztec level is based on the 1979 James Bond film Moonraker. It is unlocked by completing all the main story missions on Secret Agent. The guards are equipped with powerful US AR33 Assault Rifles, Moonraker Lasers, and also use Hand Grenades. The guards here (including Jaws) also have better accuracy and action speed added to them, making them more difficult to take care than most of the other guards in the past. Aztec is possibly meant to resemble the Aztec Ruins of Teotihuacan.
Egyptian[]
The el-Saghira Temple is the final bonus mission for GoldenEye 007. This mission can only be unlocked by completing all previous levels, including Aztec, on 00 Agent. Unlike Aztec the level isn't based on any thing in specific, although its general appearance appears modelled after the Egyptian scenes of The Spy Who Loved Me; also features elements taken from various classic Bond films from the 1970-80s.
Multiplayer mode[]
Temple[]
The default multiplayer exclusive level, based on an old abandoned temple; similar to Egyptian. The players can interact a lot between them thanks to the abundance of open areas.
Complex[]
A multiplayer exclusive level with metal walls, ventilation systems, and claustrophobic rooms. The map has multiple floors, the player can go to an upstairs or to an underneath level. The only map in the game to include a bizarre blood red sky.
Caves[]
Initially based on the latter half of Jungle, Caves was redesigned for better suit a multiplayer setting by building new areas and connecting the existing ones. One of the less interesting levels because of its darkness and the convoluted design of the layout.
Library[]
The Library is a multiplayer exclusive map in GoldenEye 007, it has secret doors and downstairs and upstairs levels. The rooms are empty and there are glass walls that can break. The level is like the mix of Basement and Stack together.
Basement[]
A multiplayer exclusive map. Counts with gray walls and roofs, tiled flooring, and two rooms with pillars that can be useful for the players. There is another smaller room with four pillars. Metal bars block the way to the top with the Basement being underneath the Stack map, supposedly.
Stack[]
Stack is a multiplayer exclusive level, it is the higher part of the Library in its own. Has all the same features as the Library, except the player can't access the Basement because it is blocked off by metal bars.
Facility[]
A fan favorite and often considered one of GoldenEye's best multiplayer maps. Like with Archives and Caverns, the multiplayer version of Facility draws the entire Facility single player map but renders about half of the level inaccessible. Facility was one of the three "Classic" maps included in Perfect Dark (the spiritual successor of Goldeneye), where it was retextured, modified, and renamed Felicity.
Bunker (2)[]
Of the five singleplayer levels also available in multiplayer, Facility, Archives, and Caverns each have around half of the map inaccessible, while Egyptian lets the players explore the full map. In contrast Bunker 2 is the only map which has more room to maneuver in multiplayer than in singleplayer. Exiting the bunker in singleplayer would end the level, meanwhile in the multiplayer version the players can go freely for the surface area.
Archives[]
Like Facility and Caverns, the multiplayer version of Archives draws the entire Archives singleplayer map but renders about half of the level inaccessible. Another fan favorite level.
Caverns[]
Similar to Facility or Archives, the multiplayer version of Caverns draws the entire single player map but renders half of the level inaccessible. This a funny arena with gates that close and open slowly and that you can use in some rooms to entrench yourself.
Egyptian[]
The map has a layout that suggests it may have been designed for multiplayer and that it was adapted to solo later. Loops around on itself as all the multiplayer maps do. Egyptian is one of the five solo stages included in GoldenEye's multiplayer, strangely enough the map is large but limited to two players.
