Luigi Ferrara was a fictional Italian intelligence operative employed by Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). The character appeared in the 1981 James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, portrayed by John Moreno, and was subsequently adapted for the 1983-87 tabletop role-playing game, James Bond 007: Role-Playing In Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Luigi Ferrara makes contact with James Bond as he reaches Cortina, informing him of the various activities of Emile Locque, the killer 007 has been chasing, at the behest of Kristatos. Mistakenly, he arranges a meeting with Kristatos and Bond, whom he believes to be a good informant, and Kristatos deceives them, saying Locque to be a man of Columbo, when in fact Locque serves Kristatos.
Later, he takes Bond to meet Bibi Dahl, the protected skater of the villain, to say goodbye. After Bibi retires, Bond is hunted by masked hockey players on the ice in the skating ring but ends up getting rid of the three. When he returns to the car to get away with Ferrara, he sees Ferrara is dead. The death saddens 007, as he believes it unnecessary, as Ferrara was actually a man with little information and experience. When Bond finally confronts Locque in a car hanging on the cliff, he throws the pin with the figure of a pigeon that was left in the colleague's body, returning it on behalf of Ferrara, and pushes the car off the cliff and to Locque's death, avenging Luigi.
