MacAdams was a Chess Grandmaster from Canada. The character appeared in the 1963 James Bond film From Russia with Love and was portrayed by Peter Madden.

Biography

From Russia with Love (film)

MacAdams was the opponent of SPECTRE planner Kronsteen during the Venice International Grandmaster Championship. During a long game, Kronsteen recieved a secret message from SPECTRE, ordering him to meet with Ernst Stavro Blofeld, although MacAdams was unaware that Kronsteen had received this message.

Kronsteen knew he had to end the game hastily, and in doing so left MacAdams with no choice but to forfeit the game. MacAdams congratulated Kronsteen for his victory, and shook hands with him, only for Kronsteen to speed out of the building.
