Macau or Macao (officially the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China) is a city and a special administrative region of China in the western Pearl River Delta of South China Sea and counts with a population of 680,000[1].
Formerly a Portuguese colony, the territory of Portuguese Macau was first ceded by the Ming dynasty to Portugal as a trading post in 1557.
The Man with the Golden Gun filmed the casino scenes in Macau (that by then was the portuguese Autonomous Region of Macau).

The Man with the Golden Gun (film)[]
In the movie Bond tracks Scaramanga to Macau, where he sees his mistress, Andrea Anders, collecting a golden bullet at the casino. Then Bond follows her to Hong Kong, where he witnesses Scaramanga murder Gibson (the missing scientist).
Skyfall (film)[]
After killing Patrice, Bond examines his briefcase and finds an anonymous payment in the form of a poker chip from a casino in Macau. Bond decides to visit the casino to cash it, knowing he will attract the attention of Patrice's employer.
James Bond Jr. (TV series)[]
Once a member of Macau's prominent criminal organization, the Raven Triad, Dr. No betrayed their trust; from then on the organization waged a personal vendetta against him.[2]
