Marsha Law was the daughter of London police inspector, John Q. Law. A one-shot ally, the character appeared in episode 53 ("Sherlock I.Q.") of the 1991 animated television series, James Bond Jr.
Biography[]
Marsha Law was travelling to London by train when it was attacked by S.C.U.M. operative, Baron Von Skarin, using a stolen Super-Tank. The train is saved by James Bond Jr. and she accompanies the Warfield students as they attempt to hunt down the now amnesiac I.Q., who believes that he is Sherlock Holmes. As Von Skarin rampages through the capital destroying its infrastructure, the group meets Marsha's father; who has survived the destruction of his police station. James and Marsha follow the vehicle's tracks to a toy factory and are promptly attacked by it. Bond sets the tank alight using a fuel can; forcing the submersible craft to flee into the river to dowse the flames. Inside the factory, James pockets some equipment and Marsha deduces that the Baron's next target is London's central power station. There, the pair spot the tank and Marsha stows away in one of its compartments. The vehicle unexpectedly takes to the skies and she is taken prisoner by Von Skarin.
James and I.Q. (as Holmes) track the Super-Tank and Marsha to a disused London Underground station; where they are all promptly captured by the villain and his subordinates, Jaws and Nick Nack. They manage to cut their bonds using a pair of novelty teeth and follow the Baron as he advances on Buckingham Palace. Bond tricks the Baron into driving the heavy tank over unstable metal plates and it falls into a deep pit. Marsha, operating a crane, manages to winch James to safety before he also plummets into the pit. I.Q. suffers another bump to the head and regains his identity.
Trivia[]
- The character's name is likely a play on the phrase "martial law".
- Examining maps in the toy factory, Marsha improbably situates London's critical "central power station" in the Republic of Ireland.
