1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 428 Cobra Jet Convertible is a vehicle featured in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, notably as the car driven by James Bond's future wife Tracy.
The Cougar was manufactured by Mercury - a brand of the Ford Motor Company - from the fall of 1966 to the summer of 2002 for eight generations. As with many of of Mercury's car offerings, the Cougar is based on a prior Ford car, which in this case is the Ford Mustang. The model appearing in the movie is the is the 1969 mid-cycle revision of the first generation model.
Although the Cougar line began as a "pony car" line, it was later revamped in the mid-to-late 1970s into a "personal luxury car" and using Ford Thunderbird as its template.

Its last seen at the barn house, with its fate remaining unknown, as Bond and Tracy are forced to abandon it and at the near end of the movie, they use Bond's Aston Martin DBS as the wedding car.
