History[]
Set in an alternate timeline, with its focus on the underworld of a futuristic 007 universe, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent significantly expands on Auric Goldfinger's criminal empire. The Midas casino is one such addition to Goldfinger's portfolio of properties. During the underworld feud between the Goldfinger and Dr. Julius No, the latter attempts to steal a super-weapon constructed by Goldfinger's technicians named the OMEN. After an unsuccessful attempt to take the weapon from Auric Enterprises in Switzerland, Goldfinger transports the OMEN to a secure vault underneath his Las Vegas casino. With the help of assassin, Xenia Onatopp, Dr. No launches an attack on the casino; breaking through to the vault below. However, the theft is foiled by Goldfinger's golden-eyed enforcer, who detonates the OMEN - disintegrating Dr. No's forces in the casino.
