The Principality of Monaco (French: Principauté de Monaco, Monegasque: Principatu de Múnegu) is a state in Europe. It is the second smallest independent state in the world after the Vatican. France, the only border neighbor, surrounds the country from the north, west and partly from the south. To the southeast and east, Monaco borders the Mediterranean Sea.
The Grimaldi family rose to power in Monaco in 1297 and has ruled the principality ever since. Monaco has been an ally of France for almost its entire history, and at times it has also been directly controlled by France. Presently, the Prince of Monaco is the head of state and holds considerable power.
Today, Monaco's standard of living is among the highest in the world, and a third of its residents are millionaires. Tourism, banking, finance and real estate sectors for the basis for Monaco's economy.

Post-titles, Bond is driving on a mountainside overseeing Monte Carlo in a Aston Martin DB5 with Caroline, a female psychiatrist from MI6. When Xenia Onatopp appears in her Ferrari F355 GTS, Bond races her.
Bond later visits Monte Carlo Casino, where he finds Xenia again. Xenia takes Admiral Chuck Farrel to a Janus-owned Manticore yatch at the nearby waters. Also, the French frigate La Fayette, with the Tiger Helicopter on deck, is anchored at the docks.
