Morpheme was a British developer of mobile games. The company was founded in 1999 by industry veterans, Andy Fitter, Lucy Reed and Matt Spall and operated until its closure by parent company Eidos in June 2008 as part of a cost cutting move.[1]
In 2005 Morpheme won a BAFTA Games Award for best mobile game, along with two Develop Magazine Industry Excellence Awards. Notable titles included The Fast and The Furious (2003), Prism: Light the Way (2006), Balloon Headed Boy (2007) and Hitman: Blood Money, Vegas & LA (2007).[2]
Morpheme developed the isometric adventure game, SilverFin, which was published on 5th January 2006 by PlayerOne. The game was based on Charlie Higson's 2005 Young Bond novel of the same name and coincided with the release of its sequel, Blood Fever.
