The national weather satellite was a weather-control satellite constructed by the British Meteorological Institute. It appeared in episode 50 ("Weather or Not") of the 1991-92 animated television series, James Bond Jr.

Created by the British Meteorological Institute, the national weather satellite was an orbital satellite capable of controlling the weather and generating localised conditions such as blizzards, hail and storms. Apparently a benevolent creation, knowledge of the national weather satellite's existence was commonplace in the UK. The inactive satellite was hijacked by Dr. Derange and the criminal organisation, S.C.U.M., who used it to commit bank robberies. Controlled from a makeshift control centre in the Post Office Tower in London, Derange's control over the weapon was initially limited by his under-powered computer hardware. To extend their ability to control weather to the entire length of England, the mad scientist stole a super-computer and set in motion plans to steal the Crown Jewels. He was foiled by I.Q. and programmer, Hildy, who hacked the satellite and powered down its solar panels - draining its internal power reserves.
