Nigel Small-Fawcett is a British Foreign and Commonwealth Office representative. The character appeared in the 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again, the reimagining of EON Productions' 1965 film Thunderball. He was portrayed by British actor, comedian and screenwriter Rowan Atkinson.

Biography[]

Nigel Small-Fawcett is a British Foreign and Commonwealth Office representative in the Bahamas. When James Bond reaches the islands following Maximillian Largo, Small-Fawcett informs him that Largo's yacht, the Flying Saucer, was now heading for Nice, France. He later arrives at Bond's villa and mistaken for an intruder is thrown in the pool by Bond. He tells the spy that M sent him in order to plead for 007's return to the service as M fears for the security of the civilised world.

  • Atkinson would later go on to play Johnny English in a couple of films, a secret agent parody of James Bond.
