Number Ten was the code number of a fictional unnamed operative and board member of the secretive criminal organisation, SPECTRE. A minor antagonist portrayed by French actor, André Maranne, he appeared briefly in the 1965 James Bond film, Thunderball. To date, across the franchise as a whole, there have been two individuals who have held the number "10".
Number Ten is present at the SPECTRE cabinet meeting in Paris and was the second to give his financial report to the Board and its leader, Ernst Blofeld. Active in France, Number Ten was involved in the assassination of Perringe, a French anti-matter specialist who had defected to the Russians. The assassination was at the behest of the special department of the Quai d'Orsay (a metonymn for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and resulted in a payment of 3,000,000 Francs to SPECTRE.
