ORU was a fictional global terrorist organisation founded and led by "ORU Prime" — wealthy British metallurgist, Auric Goldfinger. The organisation appeared in Dynamite Entertainment's James Bond comic arc, James Bond 007, which ran between 7th November 2018 and 30th October 2019.
History[]
ORU was an international terrorist group founded and operated by metallurgist, Auric Goldfinger, who went by the designation "ORU Prime". The organisation was presumably named after Goldfinger's sole obsession — gold.[1] The exact political rationale of their attacks was described as "incoherent", but ultimately involved the deliberate targeting of civilians and any venture which would increase the value of Goldfinger's gold. Divided into cells, ORU made heavy use of brainwashed operatives; who were kept in-line by reward implants. In the mid-late 2010s the organisation carried out coordinated terrorist attacks on Madrid and Barcelona, the latter of which had a death toll of approximately a thousand people.
