Peter Sellers, CBE (born Richard Henry Sellers; 8 September 1925 – 24 July 1980), was an English actor, comedian and singer. He portrayed Evelyn Tremble in the 1967 James Bond parody movie, Casino Royale. Outside of the Bond franchise, Sellers is best known for his work on the BBC Radio comedy series, The Goon Show, Stanley Kubrick's Lolita (1962) and Dr. Strangelove (1964) and for his portrayal of Inspector Clouseau in the The Pink Panther franchise. Turner Classic Movies calls Sellers "one of the most accomplished comic actors of the late 20th century."[1]
