The Platinum Tank is an experimental main battle tank constructed by Volotech. It appeared in the 2004 James Bond video-game Everything or Nothing.
History[]
Constructed entirely from platinum, Volotech's tank was designed to be resistant to its arsenal of metal-eating nanobots. Aside from rear-mounted nanotechnology launchers, the vehicle is armed with a conventional cannon on a rotating turret, along with a foward-facing, rapid-fire plasma cannon. The ammunition load of the platinum tank consists of 50 tank rounds.
After hoarding platinum mined from Volotech's mines in Puerto Viejo, Peru, the company's founder and CEO, Nikolai Diavolo, constructs and utilizes a small army of platinum tanks in his assault on Moscow's Red Square and the Kremlin. Despite the Russian Army fighting back, the platinum tanks easily destroyed them thanks to their nanotechnology.
Bond hijacks one of these tanks as Diavolo launches the second wave of tanks, and uses it to neutralize a toxic gas bomb under the Kremlin without destroying it, and preventing Diavolo's forces from entering the Kremlin by weakening the supports underneath them, and firing nano shell blasts on a helicopter carrying a statue of Diavolo, causing it to crash, and the floor to crumble, destroying all forces.
