Post Office Tower, as it appeared in episode 50 of the animated television series.

The Post Office Tower, presently known as the BT Tower, is a communications tower located in Fitzrovia, London, currently owned by BT Group. Used as a makeshift satellite control center by S.C.U.M. operative, Dr. Derange, the location appeared in episode 50 ("Weather or Not") of the 1991 animated television series, James Bond Jr.

Appearance[]

As part of a S.C.U.M. plot, Dr. Derange took over the 177 metres (581 ft) high tower, converting it into a control center for a hijacked weather-control satellite created by the British Meteorological Institute. He conducted robberies using the satellite's ability to create localised storms and planned on stealing the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. The tower was rigged with booby traps: CCTV cameras, trip-wires connected to explosives, electrified floors and an external laser turret. Derange operated the satellite from the Penthouse Restaurant. He was foiled by I.Q. and programmer, Hildy, who hacked the satellite and powered down its solar panels. During an attempt to kill James Bond Jr. in the control room, Derange accidentally shot the master computer - causing it to self-destruct and destroy the upper floors of the tower.
