Professor Giza was a professor of Egyptology. A minor ally, the character first appeared episode 4 ("Shifting Sands") of the 1991 spin-off animated television series, James Bond Jr. and was subsequently adapted for John Vincent's accompanying novelisation, Sandblast!
Biography[]
Professor Giza oversees an archaeological excavation at the recently-discovered tomb of Pharaoh Hiphurrah. Giza and the visiting students of Warfield Academy are shocked to discover two tomb robbers already inside the sealed site. After driving away the looters, he posts guards. Later, the party returns to investigate, joined by the Professor's student, Cleo Daway. The party are trapped in the tomb with the apparently reanimated mummy after Trevor Noseworthy accidentally triggers an artificial earthquake with one of I.Q's gadgets. There they remain, with a depleting air supply, until they are rescued by James Bond Jr. in an tunneling vehicle belonging to Egyptian criminal, Pharaoh Fearo.
