The Prototype Helicopter (production number: 4534569[1]) is a fictional two-seat prototype EMP-resistant attack helicopter with a distinctive coaxial rotor system resembling that of the Kamov design bureau. Designed to resist various forms of electronic warfare, it was being demonstrated at the Dubai Arms Fair. The helicopter is featured in the 2010 James Bond video-game remake GoldenEye 007, where it effectively replaces its cinematic counterpart, the Eurocopter Tiger.
History[]
During the events of GoldenEye 007, the Janus crime syndicate attempts to steal the control disk for GoldenEye, a Russian electromagnetic satellite weapon. They planned to use the GoldenEye during their escape and consequently needed an aircraft resistant to the resulting electromagnetic pulse (EMP). Their original helicopter is lost in the destruction of General Ourumov's chemical weapons facility, forcing Janus to acquire a new helicopter for the raid. Ourumov contacts Russian gangster Valentin Zukovsky, who directs him to a prototype helicopter being demonstrated at an annual military arms fair in Dubai. The aircraft is subsequently stolen from its frigate La Fayette by Orumov and his Janus accomplice Xenia Onatopp. As it departs, James Bond plants his smartphone on board, allowing MI6 to track the helicopter to a remote base in Siberia. Bond is unable to stop the theft of the satellite, which is detonated by the fleeing Ourumov. Later, 007 discovers the prototype helicopter at a statue park in St. Petersburg and is tranquilized, bound and strapped into the helicopter. Rigged to self-destruct, the aircraft launches a pair of missiles at itself. Bond hits the eject button just as the missiles find their target, destroying the prototype.
Features and Weapons[]

Trivia[]
- The Prototype Helicopter appears to be reworked model of the helicopter found in the DS version of the game. The differences being there is no tail rotor, there are no missile pods underneath the main rotors, and the front of the aircraft has a slightly different look.
- Blueprints of the helicopter are found in the cleanlabs of the Chemical weapons facility. Hinting that Ouroumov could've already known about the helicopters existence before he knew where it was.
- The nose and tail of the helicopter have the number '91548'. The same number is on the first EMP Hardened Helicopter
