Ronson was a intelligence operative employed by the British Secret Service and stationed in Istanbul, Turkey. A minor character portrayed by British stage director and actor, Bill Buckhurst, he first appeared in the 2012 James Bond film, Skyfall.
Biography[]
Ronson is an MI6 agent who is assigned to guard a safe drive containing information on undercover agents embedded into terrorist groups. However the assassin Patrice bursts into the safe house and kills two agents before shooting Ronson and stealing the safe drive. James Bond later finds Ronson sitting in an armchair still alive but badly bleeding. Bond starts to tend Ronson's wound only to be told by M to leave the agent. Later M tells Bond that Ronson did not survive his wound.
Ronson is likely named after the brand name of James Bond’s cigarette lighter from the Ian Fleming novels: a black-oxidized Ronson.
