Lieutenant Shelley Kaysing was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. The character appeared in episode 3 ("The Chameleon") of the 1991 spin-off animated television series, James Bond Jr..
Biography[]
The day after a shape-shifting criminal, The Chameleon, steals a General's uniform from a U.S. Army base, Lieutenant Kaysing arrives at Dulles International Airport to inform her superiors at the Pentagon. There, she offers James Bond Jr. and his compainions a lift into Washington in her jeep. With an hour until her meeting, she takes them sightseeing. At the Washington Monument, in the guise of an old lady, Chameleon attempts to murder Kaysing and Bond by defenestration. Bond later goes with her to warn the Pentagon, but they are both too late to stop Chameleon from stealing the prototype exoskeleton he was after. After her attempts to destroy it with a rocket launcher prove fruitless, Bond seemingly abandons her; locking her in the testing range with the machine. He returns with a tank and forces the villain to drop her, engaging in a brief shoot-out which concludes with Chameleon accidentally triggering the building's fire suppression system. Water pours into the vehicle; shorting out his subdermal implants, tossing him out and under the heavy machine. He is subsequently taken into custody. The episode ends with the group resuming their tour of the city.
