The Skyship 6000 was a fictional four-engined, non-rigid airship. Possibly designed by British manufacturer, Airship Industries, a Skyship 6000 was owned by wealthy industrialist, Max Zorin, and stationed in San Francisco, California. The aircraft first appeared in the 1985 James Bond film, A View to a Kill.
History[]
Alongside a smaller Skyship 500 airship, Zorin Industries owned a much larger four-engined dirigible. The Skyship 6000 (reg: N417Z1) had a double-decked gondala comprising of two decks, a boardroom with room for eleven attendees and a flight deck. Located on its upper deck, Zorin used the high tech boardroom to conduct a meeting with his microchip cartel. A pair of doors at the rear of the room led out to a corridor and a collapsible staircase that presumably connected the two decks. A defenestration hatch was concealed at the bottom of the staircase to quickly dispose of unwanted guests.
Description[]
As mentioned, the impressive conference room was connected to the ship's control room. The ship could probably have been used as a portable base in the sky. In addition to the drop-down stairs, as mentioned, there was a juice bar, etc., so there must have been a dining room and a bedroom. There could be laboratories there.
