Sonia Sekova is a Soviet spy played by Millicent Martin in Mainly Millicent opposite Roger Moore.
Biography[]
Sekova is extremely paranoid and suspects James Bond is trying to poison her with cyanide pills, and tries to return the favour. However, by the end of the scene, Sekova has fallen for Bond's charms and kisses him.
Trivia[]
Although this is a sketch, it is notable as this is the first time Roger Moore played the role of Bond. The character is also a curious precursor to Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me, particularly the way that she is initially suspicious of Bond, and then becomes the spy who loved him, although they do not work together.
There is also a parallel with Tatiana Romanova, but unlike Tatiana, Sonia does not seem to have been sent to seduce Bond.
