Concealed underneath Karl Stromberg's dining table is a pistol with a long perspex tube. When fired the tube guides an explosive projectile towards the unsuspecting diner at the opposite end of the table.

Since his attempt to drop James Bond into his shark tank had failed, Karl Stromberg remained sat at his dinner table, as Bond sat at the other end of the table with his Walther PPK aimed at him. As Bond took his seat, Stromberg quietly took hold of his table gun, telling Bond that his time was running out fast. This comment caused Bond to realise something was wrong, just as Stromberg fired his shot at him, which Bond was able to avoid, with his chair being obliterated by the table gun's shot. Bond then aimed his Walther PPK down the table gun's tube and shot Stromberg in the crotch, before finishing him off with several more shots to the chest.
