- James Bond: "A Talos Suit, isn't it? Impressive. I haven't seen a functional one yet."
- Titania Jones: "Let me give you a demonstration."
- ―Agent of SPECTRE.[[src]]
The Talos Suit was a fictional suit of hi-tech protective armour utilised by SPECTRE council member, Titania Jones. The equipment appeared in Dynamite Entertainment's James Bond comic arc, Agent of SPECTRE, which ran between 3rd March and 21st July, 2021.
History[]
Designed to enhance a soldier's strength and endurance, the military green, full-body suit protected its wearer from ballistic and blunt force injury. Despite providing excellent physical protection, the suit was vulnerable to intense light sources; which could overwhelm its visual receptors and damage the operator's eyesight. British agent James Bond took advantage of the weakness during a confrontation with Titania Jones at Ernst Stavro Blofeld's stronghold of Meraki - blinding her with a flare during the facility's conflagration. She was killed shortly afterwards by Blofeld and the suit was probably destroyed along with the island.
Trivia[]
- It was likely inspired by the U.S. Military's real-life TALOS (Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit) project.
- The designation is derived from the Talos of Greek mythology, a giant bronze automaton.
