Thomas Montgomery Newman is an American composer and conductor, of which his career spanned decades and has scored numerous films such as The Player, the 1994 adaptation of Little Women, The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, The Green Mile, Finding Nemo and its sequel Finding Dory, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, and WALL-E. In addition, Newman is also known for his collaborations with Sam Mendes in his films such as American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Jarhead, Revolutionary Road, and 1917.

Bond involvement[]

In 2012, he scored the 23rd Bond film, Skyfall directed by Mendes. His work on the film earned him his eleventh Oscar nomination and a second BAFTA win.

Newman also composed the music to 2015´s Spectre, also directed by Mendes.

Newman is the third composer to score more than one Bond film, following John Barry (eleven) and David Arnold (five)
