Timblin was a fictional employee of the Carver Media Group Network and a weapon-operator serving aboard Elliot Carver's Stealth Ship. A minor antagonist portrayed by unknown actor/stuntman, the character appears in the 1997 James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies.

Biography[]

Timblin was a crew member serving aboard Carver's stealth ship (commanded by Captain Scott) during the media mogul's plot to instigate a war between United Kingdom and China. To that end, Timblin remotely operated the vessel's stealthy weapon - the sea drill or "sea-vac", a wire-guided torpedo drill with rotary cutters capable of cutting through a ship's hull. Under the supervision of Carver's right-hand man, Stamper, Timblin sunk the British frigate, HMS Devonshire, carving a path through the ship to its missile storage room. Captain Scott then ordered a missile strike on one of the nearby Chinese MIGs; framing the Chinese Air Force for the attack. Following the Devonshire's destruction, Stamper patted Timblin on the shoulder for a job well done.

Several days later, Timblin was present on-board the ship's bridge as Carver oversaw the final stages of his plans. Concealed near the British and Chinese navies, Carver intended to fire a cruise missile (stolen from the sunken Devonshire) into Beijing to escalate the situation to open war. Fortunately, intelligence operatives James Bond and Wai Lin boarded the vessel and sabotaged the villain's plans; destroying the stealth ship in the process. It is unknown what happened to Timblin afterwards, either he perished or he may have escaped after the Captain ordered all remaining crewmen to abandon ship.
