The United States of America is a global superpower, and currently the wealthiest and most powerful country on Earth. Located in North America, its unique position bounded on the Atlantic and Pacific on either side have allowed it to dominate European and Asian trade. It is notable for its massive military, and intelligence services, with which James Bond co-operates with on many occasions, notably personified by Felix Leiter. It was one of the two major players in the Cold War, with the Soviet Union being the other one. Another major competitor is China.
Bond has visited United States in Live and Let Die (both novel and film), Diamonds are Forever (both novel and film), Goldfinger, A View to a Kill, Licence to Kill and Brokenclaw.
Characters[]
Many characters in Bond universe are of American. Perhaps most importantly Felix Leiter, the most reoccurring non-British ally of Bond. In some continuities, Leiter has a wife, Della and two daughters;Cedar and Kelsey.
Many of the Bond girls are American, including Tiffany Case, Holly Goodhead, Stacey Sutton, Pam Bouvier, Christmas Jones and Jinx.
America is also full of memorable eccentrics, with probably the most infamous being Sheriff J.W Pepper.
But as many friends Bond has in the United States, he also has great lot of enemies from there as well.
