Vicki Jones was a American geologist associated with an unnamed Wyoming university. A one-shot antagonist-turned-ally, the character appeared in episode 56 ("Quantum Diamonds") of the 1991 animated television series, James Bond Jr.
Biography[]
A geologist motivated by personal greed, Vicki Jones plundered geysers in Yellowstone National Park for crystals with the intent of transmuting them into diamonds by way of a particle accelerator at a nearby university science lab. She was searching in Old Faithful when she met the visiting James Bond Jr. and the students of Warfield Academy. Suddenly, mad scientist Dr. Derange arrived at the site with the same intent and drove them away with laser fire. Jaws, using a pressurised diving suit, managed to acquire an enormous crystal from the geyser - which Vicki promptly snatched from him. Running on foot, she was pursued by the villains' van; saved only by the students in their SUV.
While taking Vicki to the university, the Warfield SUV was set upon and shot to pieces by Derange in a S.C.U.M. Helicopter. They abandoned the damaged vehicle and shot at the mad scientist with a makeshift geyser cannon. The villains swept down, grabbed the crystal and felled a tree that rolled downhill toward Bond and Vicki. Bond propelled them over it with I.Q.'s Compressed Air Boots. Travelling in what was left of their 4x4, the students arrived at the accelerator to stop Derange; but were betrayed by Vicki who tied up I.Q.. While Bond and Coach Mitchell overpowered the villains with a fire hose and forklift, Vicki ran into the accelerator chamber and took the crystal for herself. Bond followed her, but both were trapped inside by Derange. They were narrowly saved by Mitchell and I.Q., who shut down the system. Foiled again, the villains fled and Vicki emerged from the chamber apologetic and humbled by her experiences.
