Whyte Enterprises Inc. was a fictional American holding company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Founded by Willard Whyte and operating across North America, the company owned a range of diverse subsidiaries in the electronics, petroleum, aviation, defence, automobile, lumber, and film industries. The organisation appeared in the 1971 James Bond film, Diamonds are Forever.

  • The character of Willard Whyte was based on eccentric industrialist Howard Hughes, who at the time of filming, was secluded at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas.[1] Whyte's business empire is itself a fictional counterpart of Hughes' Summa Corporation.
