The university laboratory was a fictional physics laboratory belonging to an unidentified university. Located near Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, United States, the lab housed a particle accelerator capable of transforming locally occurring crystals and common coal into diamonds. The site was the target of the criminal organisation, S.C.U.M., and their operative, Dr. Derange; who intended to make millions using its technology. It appeared in episode 56 ("Quantum Diamonds") of the 1991 animated television series, James Bond Jr.
