Disguised as a pair of purple tinted glasses, the X-Ray Shades eabled X-ray vision for checking for concealed weapons.
History[]
While James Bond was meeting with Q and his trainee, Bond tried on the X-Ray Shades and looked the trainee up and down, while asking about the improved models and specs that he would be given, before taking off the shades.
Bond would later infiltrate Valentin Zukovsky's Le Casino L'Or Noir, where he wore the shades to see which people there had concealed weapons, while also taking time to look at some of the women, noticing that they were also carrying weapons. As Bond approached a Casino Thug, he noticed that he carried various weapons, including a knife. When the thug refused to allow Bond to see Zukovsky, Bond proceeded to grab his hidden knife and used it to pin the man's tie to the table, before Mister Bullion to Bond tat Zukovsky would be happy to see him.
