Zoltan was one of the henchmen of Le Chiffre in the 1954 television adaptation of Casino Royale. He is played by Kurt Katch.
Biography[]
Zoltan threatens James Bond with his bespoke cane-gun.
As with Le Chiffre, some kind of Central/Eastern European background is hinted at here, since the name Zoltan originates in that part of the world. His colleague Zuroff shares that feature.

Behind the Scenes[]
- "My cane is in your back, but it is a gun, not a cane, and can blow this space in your spine without a sound. You will appear to have fainted. I shall be gone. Before I count ten, you will accompany me to the office and give me the money. If you call for help, I shall fire. One... two... three... four... five... six..."
- ― Zoltan to James Bond
As with the other characters in this episode, he represents part of the earliest attempt to adapt a James Bond novel to the screen.
The 1954 version is the only one of the three adaptations to retain the cane-gun from the original novel.
